Princess Emily and her brother, Prince Max, lived a long time ago, in a land that was far, far away. They had a pretty good life, but sometimes they got bored because nothing was happening in their castle. When that happened, they thought about the most fun person who they knew in the whole wide world, who was their grandfather, King Pops.
One day, Princess Emily and Prince Max were hanging around the castle being super bored. Prince Max said, “let’s play video games,” but Princess Emily had to remind him that video games had not been invented yet. So, Prince Max suggested that they watch movies on their Ipads, but Princess Emily had to remind them that neither movies nor Ipads had been invented yet.
Finally, Prince Max said, “I know. Let’s call King Pops. He knows how to have fun. He is the funnest person who we know!” Princess Emily thought that was a great idea, but then she remembered that telephones had not been invented yet.
So, Princess Emily and Prince Max just sat around their castle, watching the clowns, and the giraffes, and the lions, and the tigers, and the cows, and the singers, and the dancers, and the high-jumping horses, and the rollercoasters, and the high-diving horse, and the medieval jousting knights, and talked about how bored, bored, bored, they were.
Finally, Princess Emily had an idea. She said, “let’s go find King Pops, and we can play with him. That will be oodles and double oodles and triple oodles of fun!
So, they put on their travelling outfits and quietly snuck down the stairs of the castle, past the raccoons riding their bicycles, the squirrels on their skateboards, and the land fish swimming in the hallways, and made their way in their boring speed boat to the Royal Stable.
Princess Emily got on her horse, which was named, “High Horse” because he was so short, and Prince Max sat down on his turtle, which was named “Fastie” because he was so slow.
Off they went to search for King Pops. The trip took a long time, because of how slow Fastie was. But eventually, they found King Pops who took them flying in his airplane and diving in his submarine.
Then King Pops told them funny jokes and served them chocolate cake and ice cream for dinner, and a hamburger for a bedtime snack.
Everyone was having a great time, until Princess Emily and Prince Max’s parents showed up and took them home. Then Princess Emily and Prince Max were sooooooo bored again, and couldn’t wait until they could visit King Pops again.
