Princesses and Princes are special people. Just like all special people, they receive a lot of messages.
They receive long messages, short messages, smart messages, stupid messages, hot messages, cold messages, dry messages, wet messages, beautiful messages, and ugly messages.
And sometimes, they get secret messages.
The problem with secret messages is that sometimes evil, mean, stupid, ridiculous, funny-faced people might try to send a message to a Prince or Princess, and may try to fool the Prince or Princess into thinking that the secret message was sent to them by a duck, or a horse, or a zebra, or a grandfather, or a grandmother, or a frog.
One time Prince Max received a secret message from Princess Emily that blew in his window shaped like a paper airplane.
The message told him to wash his face, clean his room, be very, very, quiet, and go to bed early. Since Prince Max always did what Princess Emily said, he washed his face, cleaned his room, was very, very, quiet, and went to bed in the middle of the afternoon.
When Princess Emily wanted to play with Prince Max, she found him fast asleep. So, she tip-toed quietly up to him, put her face right near his, and at the top of her voice yelled, “GET UP NOWWWWWWWW!!!!!”
Prince Max jumped up so fast and so high, that he hit his head on the ceiling and fell down with a big “thump!”
Then, Princess Emily and Prince Max had a BIG fight and Prince Max said that he was only doing what Princess Emily said that he should do, and Princess Emily said that she never said that.
They both looked at the paper airplane message, and they figured out that it was a FAKE NEWS message that Emily did not send. They knew right away that it was sent by the evil King from the next country over.
Princess Emily and Prince Max spoke to Pops (who always had good ideas) and Pops suggested that Princess Emily needed to have a secret message stamp that she would put on all of her secret messages from then on, so that Prince Max would know that he should only listen to the secret messages that came with the secret message stamp!
And so, the wise Pops made Princess Emily a secret message stamp that looked like this:
